The Bush Grand Delusion
Bush wants history to see him as a liberator of millions
George W. Bush hopes history will see him as a president who liberated millions of Iraqis and Afghans, who worked towards peace and who never sold his soul for political ends.
"I'd like to be a president (known) as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace," Bush said in excerpts of a recent interview released by the White House Friday.
"I would like to be a person remembered as a person who, first and foremost, did not sell his soul in order to accommodate the political process. I came to Washington with a set of values, and I'm leaving with the same set of values."

The title on your post says it all. This is the president who declared "the Constitution's just a g-damned piece of paper." Oh that I could have back the America I knew the day before president Bush took office. Thanks to legislation this president signed, the incadescent light bulb will even be illegal before long.
Our liberties severely eroded under this president! If you doubt it, I'd like to suggest you watch the following videos:

One of the most unforgivable crimes of this president was his alarming and ominous progress is dismantling the wall of separation between church and state! Our Founding Fathers wisely stated in our Constitution, "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion" because whenever the church has obtained political power she has used it to punish dissent from her doctrines. President Bush has set in operation elements that will strengthen the fascist Christian Right and turn our beloved America into a nation we no longer recognize. These forces are poised and ready, in the event of a great fiscal crisis, to ruthlessly seize control in the name of national security and turn America into theocratic dictatorship.
3 quotes from Chris Hedges' book American Fascism:
"The Bush administration has steadily diverted billions of dollars of taxpayer money from secular and governmental social-service organizations to faith-based organizations, bankrolling churches and organizations that seek to dismantle American democracy and create a theocratic state. . . the wall between church and state is being disassembled." p. 23.
"Those arrayed against American democracy are waiting for a moment to strike, a national crisis that will allow them to shred the Constitution in the name of national security and strength. And those in the movement often speak of such a movement with gleeful anticipation," and they want their adherents to be ready. p. 202.
"I do believe that the radical Christian Right is a sworn and potent enemy of the open society . . . In the event of another catastrophic terrorist attack [or] an economic meltdown . . . the movement stands poised manipulate fear and chaos ruthlessly and reshape America in ways that have not been seen since the nation's founding." p. 207.
This president laid the groundwork! Such is his legacy!
Besides bringing endless peace to the world, Bush will be most remembered for his intellect and eloquence...LOL!!!!!
Sturdy: oh, I do not doubt it at all. All the posts I wrote to this effect are testament enugh of this.
Bobby: oh yeah! (lol)
Wait a minute...50M? Which 50M would those be? 'Bout 30M each in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nope doesn't add up no matter you slice it. Bush also apparently wants to be known for his stunning grasp of basic arithmetic. ;-)
"fuzzy math" indeed ;-)
