40 Minutes Into Obama Vs McCain Round Deux
- McCain plugs himself again as a "reformer" who has consistently "stood up against special interests". You see, as he says again, he has "a record" (yawn).
- Of course, McCain pushes again his "earmark" and such lies concerning Obama ... oh, and McCain "knows how to fix this economy" ... how? We still don't know.
- Holy Crap!!! McCain just said that "entitlement programs" (i.e. Health Care et al.) will have to be cut, especially for seniors!!!!
- Again, Obama gets specifics on priorities (Energy, #1 priority; Health care, #2, education, #3), while McCain said "we can do them all at once" and then continued on with vague generalities and no specifics ...
- McCain says that some programs will have to be eliminated as a form of "sacrifice", following on an internet question about "what sacrifices will you ask of the American people to fix the economy". Which programs? Sorry - he didn't say, although he mentionned Defense and VA as untouchables (of course ...).
- Obama focuses on energy instead and how people will have to change their ways of using energy, what cars they buy, etc. - as a sacrifice in order to solve energy independance. He also speaks about service - Peace Corps, Volunteers, Military, etc.
- McCain lies again: "Obama wants to raise taxes!!!" Run for your lives! Shrieeekkkk!!!! He also compares Obama's tax plan like jello with many versions (which is not true, of course) (sigh)
- Yet, still no specifics from McCain ...
