The Crass Republicans (Updated)

Listening to 91ul1ani's speech at the RNC tonight.
Shorter version: "McCain = manly *H*E*R*O*! Country first! America First! Strong National Defense! 9/11! Terrorists! Islamofascists! bin Laden/al Qaeda! Enemies! We're winning in Iraq! We love them "little", simple folks! U.S.A.! U.S.A.! U.S.A.!"
(Cue loud applause and chanting by the Grand Oil Party delegates).
91ul1ani: "Oh - and Obama = weak, cowardly. all talk, all taxes, piece of utter useless crap to be treated with contempt and be laughed at!"
(Cue derisive laughter and guffaws from the Grand Oil Party delegates).
In contrast to the class and poise displayed by the Dems last week, the Repubs are showing for all America to see how ever much classless and crass they are.
Pretty much the same old narrative/litany being repeated over and over so far, and displaying pretty much the same boorish crass as they did, in 2000 and in 2004 - if not actually worse.
Then again - that is how primitive minds think and that is what primitive minds always do.
Whether the majority of the rest of America is of like-mind or not will have to be established come November 4.
Update: Now listening to Palin's speech ... just go read what I wrote above about 91ul1ani's speech (but add lots of "Hockey Mom Power!" campy and tacky stuff).
