(Non)Progress On Climate Change: Part Deux

Oh, goody me:
G8 endorses halving global emissions by 2050;

PM blocks progress at summit;

Canada trumpets G8 vow to halve emissions by 2050.
Once again, as I said yesterday - I told you so.

And for good measure:
Vice President Dick Cheney's office pushed for major deletions in congressional testimony on the public health consequences of climate change, fearing the presentation by a leading health official might make it harder to avoid regulating greenhouse gases
Is there really anything more needed to be said?

Now excuse me while I go enjoy a cool beer (or two, or three ...) by the pool - I am after all on vacation and, quite frankly, I feel I deserve a little break from documenting more of the "heck of a job" being done by Bush/Cheney and Harper and his Harpies.

Still - in the case of our PM, this is just par for the course where our Bush emulator par excellence is concerned ...
